At McCosker, we believe that the bottom line is not the only defining characteristic of a great company. The way we do business and the impact we have upon the surrounding community is also a critical measure of our success.
We are proud to be involved with and continue to support our local community groups and organisations as well as local events that take place. This enables us to give back, help those in need, and to spend time with and support the interests and hobbies of our very own employees along with others in the community.
McCosker’s vision has been to increase tangible outcomes for the community by improving facilities throughout the region in fields such as, but not limited to, mental health, education, sport, wildlife, and environmental conservation.
Our business accepts the responsibility that we all must participate in caring for our natural environment. To achieve this we collaborate with local volunteer wildlife carers. Quoin Island Turtle Rehabilitation Centre (QITRC) began as an overwhelming passion for the preservation of wildlife, and a necessity to provide a resource to our region which was previously unavailable.
QITRC was established as the first dedicated marine turtle care facility in Central Queensland. It is a non-profit rehabilitation facility that was constructed in 2012 by McCosker. Since construction McCoskers committed to being a long term corporate sponsor, not only financially, but through education within the community (especially the next generation) and support/training of other turtle centres throughout Australia… ABOUT QUOIN TURTLES
McCosker have been involved in motorsport in Queensland since the company inception in 1995. Since 2009, McCosker have built and raced Super Stockers competitively with a team comprising of Bob McCosker, Danny Hughes and Brady Vohland (as the lead mechanic) setting the dynamic for teamwork within the company.
In 2015, McCosker moved from Super Stockers to Super Sedans, and in 2021 expanded the fleet to include the only 2-seater super sedan in Queensland and in 2023 the only 2-seater sprint car for a public, client and supplier experience. In 2019 Danny and Brady ventured into off-road racing super PRV buggies.
The racing division includes support of juniors in QLD, as well as McCosker being the naming rights sponsors for the McCosker Rockhampton Speedway, the QLD Super Sedan series naming rights sponsor and now the major funding partner and naming rights to the McCosker Gladstone Speedway… ABOUT GLADSTONE SPEEDWAY
