McCosker installed a new rising main from the BMA pump station offtake at the base of the dam wall embankment, connecting into the existing main south of the spillway bridge. Length of the rising main was 577m, the rising main consisted of 242m of 450 diameter PN20 Ductile Iron Cement Lined pipe constructed from the pump station offtake up the embankment to the eastern corner of the dam wall. The remainder of the rising main was 335m of 419 outer diameter Mild Steel Cement Lined pipe running across the dam embankment and the spillway bridge, tying into the existing main southwest of the spillway bridge.
